DO I HAVE ENOUGH TIME TO TAKE A FOOD TOUR ON A LAYOVER IN LIMA?

We can arrange your airport transfer with our trusted partners so you can meet up directly with the group tour. They charge $30 each way in a car for up to 2 people and $50 each way in a van for up to 6 people. If you would like to include this service in your reservation, you can add the note in the «comments» field when booking or contact us for a private tour.

I’M STAYING OUTSIDE THE PICK-UP AREAS, CAN YOU ASSIST ME IN ARRANGING PICK-UP AND DROP-OFF SERVICES FROM ANY LOCATION?

Sure! Some of our tours include pick-ups from Miraflores, San Isidro, and Barranco. If you would like to be picked up or dropped off at locations such as Lima Airport, the Callao cruise port, or other parts of Lima just let us know we can arrange transportation for you. Indeed, if you want a private tour just contact us.

WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM NUMBER OF CLIENTS?

We do require a two-person minimum to open a new group for each food tour. We like to keep our groups below 6 people. Of course, larger groups and special events are welcome and will be arranged separately.

WILL I HAVE A GOOD FOOD EXPERIENCE AS A SINGLE?

We often have singles on our food tours, whether they be single travelers or locals looking for something fun & different to do in Lima. We have found that most people who take our food tours are adventurous & sociable, excited about trying amazing food, & open to meeting new people (or even making new friends)! If you are open to meeting new people & having a great time, you will have a wonderful experience.

DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE THE FOOD, DRINKS & TOUR GUIDE’S TIP?

All our food tours are all-inclusive! The price includes all food and drink in the program, entrance fees, transportation, and tips at the restaurants. Your tour guide’s gratuity is separate from the cost of your food tour. We generally recommend giving your guide between 15% to 20% of the purchase price of the tour.

HOW MUCH FOOD DO WE EAT ON THE LIMA FOOD TASTING TOURS?

We recommend not eating anything other than a light snack before our experiences. You will have the opportunity to taste foods from different specialty shops, ethnic eateries, and restaurants. It’s more than enough food for a hearty lunch. Our promise to you is that your bellies are full by the end of the food tour.

HOW MANY MINUTES OF WAITING DO I HAVE BEFORE THE FOOD TOUR STARTS?

Please note that our guides can wait for you only for a maximum of 10 minutes. If you anticipate being late, feel free to contact us to discuss any possible schedule changes. Our guides will make an effort to accommodate late arrivals by arranging an alternative meeting point later in the tour, but we cannot guarantee it. Remember to arrive on time, thanks.

HOW SAFE ARE THE FOOD AND WATER FOR VISITORS FROM ABROAD?

All of our providers adhere to the maximum hygienic standards as nothing is more important than your health. In Peru we boil tap water to drink it, if you can’t, so make sure you drink bottled water while in Peru. Will be great if you bring a reusable water bottle to minimize environmental pollution.

DO YOU ACCOMMODATE VEGETARIANS, FOOD ALLERGIES, AND SPECIAL DIETS?

Absolutely! Vegetarians, lactose-free guests, and other special requests can be accommodated. Please notify us of any dietary restrictions at the time of booking as we coordinate all alternative menus in advance.

ARE THE FOOD TOURS SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN?

Our food and cultural tours are perfect for food and history enthusiasts, including young ones! Bring your children along and let them have a blast as they explore the fascinating world of Peruvian cuisine. Just inform us in advance when making your reservation, so our tour guide can be prepared. Please be aware that strollers may pose challenges due to narrow sidewalks, staircases, and small shops along the tour route. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact us.

ARE THERE BATHROOM STOPS?

Of course, there are! Your tour guide will keep you very happy and comfortable and let you know when the next restroom opportunity is coming up.

HOW SHOULD I DRESS DURING A TOUR?

Please dress casually and comfortably for our tasty tours and keep in mind that in Lima never rains.
